12 August 2025
The Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Wellness Activity 2025 brought together staff from across the University of the Philippines System at UP Baguio for three days of learning from one another, team-building, and prioritizing holistic well-being. This annual gathering aimed to strengthen camaraderie among constituent units, promote overall wellness, and align public service initiatives for the year ahead.
The program opened on Wednesday, August 6, with a Social Wellness session led by staff and volunteers from UP Los Baños, featuring interactive activities that helped participants break the ice, welcome new members, and reconnect with long-time colleagues—setting the tone for an engaging and supportive atmosphere throughout the event.
On its second day, August 7, the focus shifted to Physical Wellness with speaker Joshua Laureta, who emphasized the importance of staying active even in desk-bound work environments. He shared practical exercises and tips for maintaining energy, improving posture, and integrating movement into daily routines.
Financial health then took the spotlight as Prof. Dianne Acosta-Corpuz guided participants through strategies for budgeting, saving, and long-term planning. Her talk empowered staff to take control of their finances to reduce stress and secure their future. Mental Wellness capped the learning sessions, with facilitator Cinderella Ronalyn Cubacub sharing effective approaches to stress management, mindfulness, and work-life balance, while underscoring the importance of cultivating a supportive workplace culture.
Parallel to the wellness sessions, the Pahinungód Council held a meeting with the UP Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs, represented by VP Atty. Marian L. Coquia-Regidor and AVPPA Mark Lester Del Mundo Chico. Their discussions focused on strengthening collaborations, updating each other on ongoing projects, and identifying new opportunities to expand the University’s public service reach.
The Pahinungód Staff Wellness Activity 2025 not only reinforced the value of health and personal growth among its members but also renewed the organization’s commitment to its mission. Through investing in the well-being of its staff, Pahinungód ensures that its people remain energized, connected, and ready to serve communities across the country.
